The filmic is the illusion of the photographic. The filmic actuates the illusion of the photographic through motion. Thus the world is reduced to a static image commonly known as a photograph. Hearing, smelling, tasting and touch are then mental images emanating from other mental images, namely, singularly, the world.

Embodiment does not successfully contradict dualism – “my body knows more than I do.”

Descartes would have been mistaken should he have uttered “I shit, therefore I am”, or, “I eat shit, therefore I am”, instead of his splendid dictum: “Cogito, ergo sum.” Shit is a mental image; eating and tasting shit is yet another mental image subsumed under the mental classifier (aka a mental image) we loosely label “DIY activities involving excrement” that is ultimately wombed in the mental image we call “world.”

Cogito, ergo sum: the I endlessly iterates on itself making it impossible to tease out its deoxyribonucleic acid or that which makes it endlessly generate ‘the photographic’.

We deduce from Heidegger that nothing does not exist and we concede to the real thanks to Descartes.
